Terms of Service

Last updated 25 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Countova, a cloud business platform provided by Tripster Developers ("Countova", "we", "us"). By creating a workspace or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

Countova provides cloud accounting, invoicing, inventory, purchasing, payroll and related business applications, delivered as a subscription. Each customer's workspace runs in its own isolated database.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, your users, and keeping login details secure. You must give accurate information and be authorised to act for your organisation. You must be 18 or over.

3. Free trial and billing

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including: breaking the law, infringing others' rights, uploading malware, attempting to breach security or access other customers' data, or reselling the service without our written agreement.

5. Your data and ownership

Your data is yours. We do not sell it and we do not use it to train models. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the service for you. You can export your data at any time, and we will provide a copy on request. Countova and its software remain our intellectual property.

6. Availability and support

We work hard to keep Countova available and backed up, but the service is provided "as is" without a guaranteed uptime unless we agree one in writing. We provide support by email at hello@countova.com.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other non-excludable law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close a workspace that breaches these terms or is significantly overdue on payment, after reasonable notice where practical. On termination we will keep your data available for export for a reasonable period, then delete it.

9. Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a fresh date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
